Craig - thanks for the information regarding the metalware - do you consider the hose and bulb also to have been replaced?
not being a collector of coralene I wasn't aware of the C20 revival in the States, so you may well be correct with your dating - I don't think there was anything similar in the U.K.
The good stuff has coloured beads muffled on, but occasionally I see the poor relation where clear beads are simply stuck to a coloured under-painting. Manley had some strong views on the different methods of production -
"'Coralene' made correctly is a treasure. The American specimen (he gives a page reference) shows the right size of pellets, with lustre, muffled in position (the right way of fixing). This example (here he refers to his illustration), is Continental, very pretty, but cannot be used, and must not be handled, as the pellets will fall off."
Take it Craig that your pellets are coloured and not clear.
