Topic: New Venini bits

Thought I'd share my 2 new bits that arrived this week.
First is a Versace, Venini vase and stands a whopping 14" high

Second is by Toots Zynsky from 1984 and the colours are fabulous.

I think the Toots Zynsky piece comes from the series referred to in this link

I seem to remember her telling me that just after she graduated from Rhode Island School of Design where Chihuly was her professor, he introduced her to the company in Venice who commissioned the series. But this was a long time ago and I may have mixed up some of the details.....so I thought I'd better do a quick google and came up with this link http://www.risd.edu/about_profiles.cfm?type=alumni&profile=alumni_profile_54.cfm which suggests My memory might be better than I thought!

Thanks Adam and Pete I keep a folder now on each piece in my collection with all the background I can find, so everything gets printed off and added.
