Trying to see if anyone can identify the maker of this bowl.  It measures 40 cm (16" inches) in diameter.  Thank you.

This is a guess based on memory (which is a mistake) however I had a Inwald vase years ago that had this same type of almost whimsical fish so I wonder if its a relative?

I think Inwald's glass is different from this.  Theirs is more like pressed glass.  This piece has a lot of weight, like their is some lead in it.  Also, their glass appears to be completely frosted.  Not sure though.  Maybe.

Looks very much like something from Consolidated (or Phoenix). Can't find the exact pattern now, but it's very much their style.

Edit: Possibly Consolidated's pattern 2585, see lot 383 here: http://humlernolan.com/Auctions/Prices-Realized/December-2010/Page/12

Very well done sir...I should have my hindquarters kicked for not recognizing it, but plain Jane crystal satin finish threw me as these Martele pieces are almost always stained with color. #2585 bowl, Martele line, fish...not to be confused with the Tropical Fish Martele they simply called it fish.

I see we were posting at the same time...I am just slower. I will say that their Lot  #382 is not Phoenix, Its Cambridge.

Oh, wow.  I never would have guessed Consolidated.  Though I have only seen a few of their pieces in person, the glass seemed quite different and not near as heavy.

Thank you SO, SO MUCH for your help.  So greatful.

I believe your bowl was in all probability made between 1942-1945 when most Consolidated Glass production was straight crystal or crystal satin due to WWII restrictions regarding chemicals Consolidated used for their colors.
