Topic: Colourful weight with bubbles

Hi all,this weight is about 3" ht with a flat polished base and feels heavy with clear glass,"bought this years ago in a lovely little antique fair in France...",i was told,but i'm wondering if it's not Italian originally,any thoughts many thanks.

A splendid piece. Looks to be Murano from the second half of the 20th century.

The "frothy bubbles" may be an indicator of 1970s period from Ferro & Lazzarini.

Thanks for the extra info everyone,i've been looking at this one alot trying to work out the making processes and how long the whole thing would take to put together ,seems like alot of work?

I think this looks very much like a Gino Seguso weight, he used that mass of bubbles the flowers emerge from in the series of weights he made called Flowers of Enchantment and the flowers are similar too

I tell you what there's not alot in it between the two from the examples i've looked at,depending on the camera angles the Seguso ones look a bit flatter domed and wider based than the F&L weights with more chance of a bit of green and less tutti frutti type colour being used,the base on mine seems to look more like F&L's i've seen as well,but i really haven't seen enough of these types to tell by a long chalk.
