hi, is up about 20 cmi and the diameter of the base is about 8 cm

It looks like a figurine broken off just below the neck ruffle a comedy figure . imho

Yes Christine I didn't see the size , that throws my theory out as the complete one I have is about 30 cms , Nigel had quite a tall one at the Brum Fair , it does look like the commedia del arte  series . There is a set  called Mask that has the ruffle as the base and Ottos has a mask , I believe they are by Fulvio Bianconi
 . Whatever I do like it ,
