is this an "Anse Volante" vase?
« on: September 01, 2014, 05:30:06 PM »
found this one last week and it strongly reminds me of the Giorgio Ferro "Anse Volante" vases by AVEM, which has been made in the 1950s in red iridato glass
this one measured nearly 10 inches in height and is designed with a single 'pulled' handle and three feet, extracted from the main shaft while the vase is heated
i never owned a "Anse Volante" before and can't say for sure if it is one
I've tried to find "Anse Volante" fakes searching the web but haven't found any
The iridato surface seems to be matching with the ones i've seen on pictures
