Hi Everyone!! I went to an auction last weekend and look what I was able to win!!! It's called a muffineer, but I would call it a sugar shaker. It will go nicely with my ruby red cut to clear glass.

Hi Nancy. It's lovely, but why is it called a muffineer? Not a term us Brits are familiar with

I'm not familiar with the term muffineer either, first time that I had heard the word. My only guess would be that back in the early 1900s people who served muffins wanted their guests be able to shake powder sugar on the muffins?
Maybe someone else could help me out here.........

That's what they were used for. They are also sometimes called sugar dusters, all three terms are interchangable. I usually try to add muffineer either in the eBay title or description, as I will be doing tonight when I list a Northwood blue opalescent one.
Nice find!

Wow! Nancy that's lovely... well done. This would actually be a nice shot to include in a future GMB calendar - may we save it for that purpose please Nancy?

Yes Nancy. I'm trying to get it finalised now so it'll be available in good time for the New Year.

Hi all.
Point one: Oh my gosh. That is gorgeous. I can definitely see why you collect it.
Point two: I tried the link to the calendar in the cafe, (GMB told me that it didn't exist), could we try that again?
Thanks ladies.
