Are these Steuben Vase/Candlesticks?
« on: October 02, 2014, 02:58:11 PM »
I purchased these 3 pieces at an auction.  They were listed as Steuben.
I have researched them and found they were shape #6547.
The problem is I can't find any that were done in just the Verre de Soie finish.
I have found some with reeding, but none plain.
They measure 3.25" high.
They all have a nice bell tone when tapped and they appear to have polished pontils.
Are these real Steuben or were they misidentified?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would encourage you to contact the Steuben national organization by the URL below:
info AT cardersteubenclub DOT org
[Mod: email address anti-spammed change AT and DOT as required and remove spaces]

Additionally you really need to photograph these using a black background as the white background washes out important details. Shape does look like 6547 & size is correct so I am inclined to believe they are legit & just because they are not reeded is not that important since the 6547was made in the Verre de Soie finish, but just to make certain contact the national.
