Could it be Light Opera, Solstice Art Glass?

Never heard of them, sorry Rosie. I'm a bit worried as the company, who's name is on the base, were bought up by another and they don't make paperweights as they own another company who do  ::) clear as mud so far,  ;D ;D ;D

May we ask if it is Scandinavian,  possibly connected to Kosta Boda??

If what's etched to the base is correct then it's British, I hope  ::) ;D ;D

Dartington don't make paperweights,  they own Caithness, as you know, not a Caithness, I did email them in regards to this weight and it leads me to one of two conclusions,
1. It's a very well done dodgy job or,
 2. It's been in a cabinet since the day it came from the shop, have I given it away yet ?  ;D ;D
Probably should say this company did make weights but not recently, confused, I am... ??? ;D ;D

Oh goodness me Keith, is it Pilkingtons?  That was my first though, but I dismissed it.

Dartington have made many paperweights, right from the early days really. It seems they have stopped making them though as I can't find any on their website (production probably shifted to Caithness). They were there six months ago as I identified one of my weights on the Dartington website.

There are 2 or 3 Dartington paperweights on Google ( not including the flat backed type, just the traditional round ones), but I suspect this may not be if Keith says no.
Pilkingtons did make some paperweights though, even though they are renowned for their window glass!!
