Mystery Glass: English, French, Moser or Harrach?
« on: June 04, 2006, 07:25:06 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Over the years I've accumulated a small collection of this kind of glass, but I'm really unsure as to the maker.

Here's a few pictures similarly decorated pieces I have:
Mod: Link removed as content changed to inappropriate site

I've thought they could possibly be French or Moser, but have nothing to base that on other then a hunch.

The quality of the glass is quite nice, the range of colors I've seen is also very nice, as is the thick gold decor, and they always have nicely polished pontils (the powder box even has a star cut top, similar to star cut pontils seen on nicer Victorian cut glass).

Anyone have any ideas as to the maker?

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian -

I would be very interested in knowing also.

I have a vase very similar to your green, tri-handled one.  It is the same shape but different decoration.

I posted it on this board over a year ago and never got anywhere with it.

Connie,

Yep the vase is definitely the same company.  I've actually seen one or two more of the same vase.

I'm going to the Czech Collectors Associations  (CCA) annual  convention this week, and I'll take a picture with me to see if anyone there has any ideas.

Brian

Brian, I would be very interested in any information you obtain on these vases.  :)
