Moser? Blue water jug.
« on: October 17, 2014, 06:08:38 PM »
This was being thrown out at my friends charity shop due to it having a chip to the rim, i see a lot of this type of glass, i have no idea where it comes from, at a guess around 1880's in date but where was it made and have i got the date roughly right?. The decoration is in lovely condition it's normally worn away.

It's 7 inches in height and 4 inches across the base.

I am almost certain that it is not moser. I was thinking it was later, but given the underside, I can see why you think it is earlier. my reason for a 20th century dating is due to the decoration rather than construction. I could be entirely mistaken about the age.
