MDG Earthtones Bottle vase........
« on: October 23, 2014, 11:45:39 AM »
Hi,
I was given the 'heads up' on this piece by Mike (Baked Beans) who spotted it on ebay USA.
It has an MDG lable ....... 6 1/2 inches high.

Regards,

Patrick.
Ps. attractive buy, because it was posted to my sister in North Carolina.

Earthtones not Tiger.

It's the same as this http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=584 and the same decor as my little bottle http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=575 , which has really nice coloration

Hi Christine,
I love your little bottle and with the flat ground base could have certainly been made at the same time as mine. The colour as you say is identical.
The first piece you show does not however look the same.

Cheers,

Patrick. :)

It's not as nice (fewer nice reddish bits) but its definitely MDG; it has a matte ground pontil mark and typical MDG colouring and patterning. Sue see's Boffo's hand in my bottle

Is your "Chimney" vase cased in Amber, Christine? Or is it just that the colour is reflected in the base?
(I can't remember. I've just inspected mine and the colouring looks the same, and mine is cased in clear, but it can look amber from reflections.)
I have an Earthtones MDG Chimney vase cased in blue, and a really fabby green one too.

This is a shape that was produced at both Mdina and MDG.

(Christine - are you ok? It's not like you to be using "grocer's apostropes"!  ;))

Yes just trying to hurry when I'm supposed to be working. The chimney thing is cased in clear (possibly the one that broke may have been cased in amber)
