the covered jar is in the style of American brilliant cut glass. the Europeans also produced rich cut glass, but my suspicions are that this item was produced after the cut class heyday which lasted from c. 1876-1914. after the war, American cut glass production dwindled, but producers in turkey and a few places in eastern Europe attempted to take their places. the quality between the abc period glass and the neo abc is usually a difference between night and day. prodigious quantities from turkey and elsewhere have been produced from before ww2 down to the present time.
while I am not dogmatically stating that yours is modern, that would be my guess at the moment. the shape and form is certainly not typical of the first period glass.
