I had been thinking about bidding on
this unsigned PY weight but eventually chose not to.
I had thought it might make upwards of £500 because of its bold colouring and less common design. But I did not expect it to make nearly £1,000!
A bouquet within a "half-spoke" garland is an uncommon design. But perhaps the six flowers + one bud, together with the very bold contrasting twists also assisted the winning bid?
