My small collection.  The blue in these glasses is eye-popping.
The piece on the left I think dates to the late 1830s, the piece on the right is cameo glass and dates to c1860.

I'm researching the Fußbecher in the middle at the moment hence the picture is side on so as not to show the detail on it :)
It has a lot of gilded detail that doesn't show in the group pic, so I've added a pic taken against one of the windows in our house where more of it can be seen.  It is also gilded on the foot but not possible to light it to show that as well.  Some of the cutting in the glass is reflected in the detail of the window :)

Very elegant indeed.  8)

They wouldn't "go" in my house any more than ironed clothes "go" on me.
(They look as if they've been dragged through a hedge backwards immediately.)

;) They would just show the rest of my muddle up for what it is.  :'(

The one on the right is a work of art, i found something similar at a car boot  to the one on the left, i think it's 1830's in date what do you think?.

Sue thanks :) they sit in my single closed glass cabinet with some other enamelled pieces that I don't want to have to touch in case I damage the enamels.  I've been desperate to try and get a 'collection' as they do look stunning at night under lighting.

brucebanner, I've never seen anything like it on my 'travels' - I'm sorry.  It is probably best if you start a completely new thread with full pictures of the base top, side on etc etc.  And thank you :) yes the cameo is rather special.

Brucebanner can you start a separate thread with your vase?
showing good pics of foot, base, top etc.
I've found something with very vague similarities and will post the info if you start a separate thread in order to keep things ordered :)

edit - it's ok I've found your separate thread - will post there

Thanks
