Please help identify glasses - Kosta Boda?
« on: December 03, 2014, 02:52:46 PM »
I purchased a set of these glasses at an auction.
The auction company listed them as Kosta Boda.
I have searched hundreds of pictures online and can not find any that are similar.
If anyone can help identify these I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, does the "Kosta Boda Book of Glass" have pictures of all of the Kosta Boda stemware?
I am thinking of purchasing this book for future reference.

Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

The best resource I've found for stemware id is http://www.replacements.com it is a laborious process searching through the images though as Kosta is very prolific. The Kosta Boda book of glass is a lovely book but only has a selection of designs in it.
Swedish Glass Factories: Production Catalogues, 1915-60 (Art & Design) by Helmut Ricke, Lars Thor (ISBN: 9783791308043) is very comprehensive which reflects on the price if you can even fin a copy for sale expect it to be US$250 or more.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for your reply.
I did search Replacements for amber wine glasses.  I looked at over 1000 entries and didn't see anything like them.
The Swedish Glass book sounds very interesting. I would love to have something as comprehensive as that!

Thanks again
