Black cat & lantern on stoppered decanter.

Suggestions as to origin? I was thinking Germany or Austria myself, but could be just anything.

Gorgeous, shape is not uncommon in French and American catalogues.

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding of worldly things moves his soul.    (Alfred Lichtwark 1852 1914)

Yes of course I saw those - the bubble one is very similar, including the lenthwise seam and the underside. I am wondering if this could be the "organische Glasfarbe" introduced by Degussa in 1960 that Mr. Mauerhoff referred to in the Schmetterling thread??
