Hi.  I agree it looks like Whitefriars.  They made a number of commissioned designs for customers.

We do not suggest values on this Board, but some contributors (including me) are happy to offer their thoughts privately.

Hi,
definitely a correct Whitefriars item. Although this is an uncommon item, most collectors do not put a great value on it as it consists of just a ceramic transfer on a plain glass (although facetted) body.

Probably the best way to sell would be on eBay with a 99p start and it will find its own level. Somewhere in the low tens of pounds I would imagine but no guarantees.

Unfortunately, the '72 Munich Olympics do not tend to be remembered for anything to do with sport.

Hi Chris,
Yes, that's another one of the same style of paperweight. Not as common though.  I have 5 different designs. 3 are acknowledged in Brian's guide, these being the 1972 Olympics, the Glass Man. Federation ( your latest post) and the 1972 Silver wedding. There is also a 1976 Olympics ( made as a cheaper offering than the millefiori example), and finally a Windsor castle which was a very limited trial (possibly just a few). Brian has confirmed these last two. I have attached a picture.

Cheers,

Hi Chris,
just checked my database and yes, the one I have was from you. I bought it from you on 6th November 2013. I was pleased to add it to my collection as you don't see them very often, if at all.

Cheers,
