Just found this thread on a search so thought I'd bump it for Sue's attention.
The first I'd say is not. Much of the Maltese glass is signed and the base doesn't look right.
The second could be IoW? The mottled pink is one such colour, I think, but I'm not sure about that particular shape.
Third I've no idea!

Thanks. Here's the base of the second vase. http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/albums/userpics/10011/Picture_1283.jpgOn all of them the decoration sits on top of the glass rather than inside the glass.

Hi, I didn't comment before, because I don't know!
The first and third ones I do not think are anything to do with anything Harrisy. the first, most definitely not, the third, not quite so definitely not.
The middle one I'm not sure. I have a flat, round bottle in pinks and whites, similar to this, with purple and gold strapping set in it. When I bought it, I was pretty convinced it had a Harris connection, in fact, it was the similarity between the round pink thing and Jonathan Harris's "Horizon" vase that convinced me. I still don't know if it's IoWSG, Mdina, Gozo, Kerry or even Guernsey.
Your middle one looks like my round one, which looks like Jonathan Harris's Horizon.
However, your middle one looks nothing like Jonathan Harris's Horizon. If that makes any sense!

Could the middle one be Mtarfa? I know they normally sign, but strapping is something they employ and they do use pinks. The shape's niggling me: I've seen similar vases and have a feeling it was Maltese.

IoWSG made vases and perfume bottles with a turned over lip at the sides - eg. the Precious Mosaic Collection, but it is turned over much more than the pink vase shown. It doesn't say Mtarfa to me, but I could be wrong.
Try asking IoWSG Archives, or Mark Hill.

Thanks for your replies.
I've tried registering with the IoWSG board but all I get is an error message.
"Warning: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The field 'phpbb_users.user_login_tries' cannot contain a Null value because the Required property for this field is set to True. Sue actually posted a message on there about problems registering: http://www.isleofwightstudioglass.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25However, I've just tried and my user name doesn't appear in the list so it'll be necessary to contact admin, I feel..

Had a mail back from IOWSG: Unfortunately once again the forum registration has gone wrong. We are currently trying to correct this. Please check back later. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

I think you're more likely to get a response to a direct email, with pictures, from the company than from the forum. I wanted to try to get the forum going, and to have the information and so on in the public arena, rather than them having to repeat and repeat things, but it doesn't seem to work that way.

You may be right Sue, but these things do take time to get established so perhaps a few more of us starting new topics might encourage things along :? I remember the early days of GMB (and I wasn't one of the first) when topics were very few and far between, but in over two years there's now to date 1,675 members with over 41,000 different articles!

Hi Thanks for the mention of the all new forum on the IOWSG site we hope it will become as useful as this one. Sue, as you mentioned sometimes the response is not as quick as perhaps it should be and sometimes direct mail seems quicker, our new forum has all the boxes ticked to alert us when new members join and new articles are posted so we will try alot harder to respond quicker. Unfortunately the website and the archive department are not my only job's, I'm also a glassmaker, the IT manager, I run the Collectors' Club and I am also involved in a few of the other departments so my time on each area is fairly limited (Ah!) But if anyone feels that the forum has been neglected please drop me an email to remind me. We also have other specialists involved with the forum who from time to time drop in and add their comments. Tigerchips sorry about the wait for the registration email but I have found out this morning that it is not working, I have changed the settings to member approval and each morning (not sundays) I will firstly check the forum and activate any new members. Sorry about that.
Once again many thanks
David
