Murano -- Three Piece Set
« on: February 03, 2015, 03:05:27 AM »
Hi there.

Believe it or not but I stumbled on these 3 pieces for a  total price of $ 7 CAD for all.  HAD to grab. Lots of Gold Aventurine in the swirls. I assume from the 1950's or 1960's era. Very good Base wear as shown in the last pic.  I think maybe Barovier and Toso ???

Beautiful Black, Gold and White Swirls.  Will post the measurements shortly, as forgot to do that....LOL.  Truly a beautiful 3 piece set !!!

Any input as to your opinion for age/maker?

Thanks   :-*

Thank YOU Christine for your Reply!!  :-* :-*

What were they used for, as the smaller one -- IS smaller than the other small one.  I do not think one was for a lighter -- as I see no wear inside -- or around the rim.

So was this a Vanity set or something??  Do you have an idea who the maker/year might be.

Thanks Christine Again!!

No idea of maker Rose but my guess for when would be after 1950 (very much a guess though). Can you see any bits of ash in the glass?

John
