Modern ribbed Swedish vase - help with ID, please
« on: June 12, 2006, 05:31:06 PM »
http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-2293

11.5 in/29 cm tall
5.5 in/14cm across rim
Weighs 820 g

Dark turquoise colour.
Ribbed vertically, more noticeably on the inner surface.  The outside is almost smooth.

Has the remnants of a small round sticker on the base - Made in Sweden, blue on white background inside a blue circle.

The base is smooth and punted inwards although the rim is not ground flat.  I suspect that the vase was machine moulded then hand-finished rather than hand-blown into a mould, but the glass is of a very high quality and the vase rings beautifully when pinged.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris
