Vases, Gold Musicians, Made In Czecho-Slovakia
« on: March 02, 2015, 08:24:04 PM »
When going through Loetz signatures I decided to try to attribute this vase (I have a pair). 11" height, 4" diameter, glass is 3/8" inch thick at ground rim, no mold line, all fire polished, heavy at 4 3/4: lbs. Gold musicians 360 degrees around diameter with gold lines to to bottom. Acid etch Czecho (top) Slovakia (bottom) with made in the center & all surrounded in a circle. Some lead in batch. Probably tough to attribute but was curious as to how many may has used this Loetz type signature which is usually found in an oval. I assume other companies followed suit but the Czecho (top) Slovakia (bottom) with made in the center & all surrounded in a circle is supposedly found on a later Loetz piece although I am a bit skeptical.

Thanks, Ken
