Attention all MONART collectors ...
« on: March 26, 2015, 08:35:37 PM »
I am hoping to get back into some of my outstanding projects. One of those is linked to millefiori canes in pre-war Monart bottle stoppers, or canes that show clearly as body decoration on other pre-war items.

Do you have examples in your collection? If so, would you be willing to provide me with clear photos of the canes?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Kevin, the only Monart piece I have with millefiori canes is this HE perfume bottle, shown below.
I date this piece (not by the canes) to be no later than 1932.
I have images of the canes used in the experimental cup ( by Salvador) housed in Perth museum, if you require them.

Thanks guys.

Gary - Yes, please, images of the canes in the cup would be very useful as I only ever took one reference shot of it in the cabinet and it turned out to be a poor image.

Hi Kevin, below is link to a previous thread on the cup.
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,47335.msg266358.html#msg266358
I have images of 1 pre war HE perfume bottle with millefiori canes and images of 5 pre war IE perfume bottles with millefiori canes.
Due to copyright I cannot post them here, but would be willing to email them to you.
