Hello,

I have owned this huge footed bowl for about 12 years but I have no clue as to the origins.  It is iridescent with a slightly matt and opaque finish in the main body - the foot has some iridescence but is clear glass.  The top is frilled and there is a 'swag' design to the bowl.  It has a rough pontil to the base and is enormous, 9" high and 8" at the widest point.  I'm afraid I don't know enough about this type of glass to describe it in more detail but I hope the photos will help.  Any suggestions would be welcome and I would be particularly interested in seeing a similar example.

With many thanks in advance,
Vx

I'd go with Walsh Walsh. I haven't seen that shape on a foot but everything else is right

Much appreciated Christine - I wonder if anyone else has??  I do have some older glass but the size and weight (and condition.. it is mint) of this one threw me.

Thank you for responding.

I'm learning more and more.  I will go away now (that I'm heading in the right direction..) and will do some researching.
Thank you some more!

I'm confident that's what it is.

Well now that I'm looking in the right direction I'm beginning to be convinced!  I should have done this research sooner but I've just enjoyed owning it.  Sadly it is one of several pieces which needs to go now.  Is is OK to ask for valuations in this thread?   ???

We don't generally give values because they are too subjective.
