ID HELP / Dark red vase.
« on: April 19, 2015, 09:41:48 AM »
Dear forum members,

can anyone please help to identify this small dark red vase?
Size is 19cm (7,5''), Diameter 6,5cm. Heavy, thick glass. Colour dark
red, cased glass technique.
Grinded bottom, no marks, engraving, label, etc. Kindly see pictures.

Remarkable is a small, 0,5cm bottom of yellowish, clear glass,
which makes a beautiful colour combination to the dark red.
But that is not the whole bottom design, the massive glass area
lasts up to 3cm, but this is not to see at first sight, because this part
has the same colour as the rest of the vase.

The whole piece looks ( imho) very elaborated, artfully and done in a
masterful, complexe technique of cased glassmaking.
So, would be very interested in getting more details about the origin!
(Please excuse my poor english.)

Thanks, Martin
