Very ill paperweight , needs identification, please.

2.75 inches tall and a bit battered to say the least, might take it to the Ruskin centre for a polish later in the week, any ideas please ?

If it was mine Keith I would leave it as it is, looks lovely with all that wear and history, I'm really not a fan of restored glass, I wonder if it's been used as a marble?.

Don't think it would roll very well  ::), got it for the wife I'll let her decide if she wants it polished I'm not really bothered, it does have character the way it is, ;D ;D

Hi Keith.  It is Old English, but no one has yet identified the factory.  If you check my website, the Old English pages show a number of paperweights and bottles from this maker (OE2).

Looks like it might have been used for darning socks. There is a pic. here of a wooden darning egg........light bulbs were also used  :o
