Topic: Venini Vase 1930ies ?

Hello @ all,

I bought a nice little vase which seems to be an old Venini piece.

It is clear green, very thick and heavy glass with cuttet bottom. The opening seems to be drilled. The glass is not completly plain on surface and with very small bubbles inside.

Height: 12 cm   weight: 903 g

The acid mark "Venini Murano" has been used from 1930-43.

Can anybody tell me something about this piece?

Nice vase!
Definately a design by Carlo Scarpa, mid 1930s, shape number 3596.
I checked the Scarpa exhibition catalogue, and found that he used this shape in a lot of different ranges / techniques (sommerso, mezza filigrana, corroso).

I saw the same vase in brown sommerso a while ago at the fleamarket, and wondered about the drilled opening...
