picture of the base?  how large is the pontil mark?
Does it match an S&W shape?  think I may have seen a 'Rainbow' vase in that shape maybe.
I've a funny feeling that pull up threading has been on here before in blue.  Did Whitefriars do something like that?
I wouldn't describe it as ribbed but as pulled trails perhaps. Or feathered.

Hello M, it has a large polished pontil mark, the vertical ribs can just be made out through touch same for the 'feather' trailing, similar shape to some S& W's pieces I've seen, the only difference is this is quite light in weight,  ;D

Gray-Stan?
I'll have a quick look later and see if I can match.
Pontil mark doesn't sound right though but they did that design I think.

this must have been what I was thinking of
it's a Whitefriars Barnaby Powell blue threaded on sea green bowl, ribbed, and with a dark blue rim fading to sea green at the bottom.

If yours is a Whitefriars then you will need someone else to help as I know nothing :)  (I hope you do and I hope it's very rare :))
If not, then terribly sorry as I couldn't find anything under Gray-Stan and couldn't find an S&W 'Rainbow' shape to match unfortunately (although I'm sure I've seen a footed version).  Gray--Stan did do a threaded pull up as well but I've not seen that colour and couldn't find a match for the shape and design.

This is a blue on green vase Whitefriars threaded so you can see the comparison a little more

I did look at this when you first posted - I had seen one quite a while ago and couldn't find the maker then.
All I can add is I spent quite a while looking and though it was similar to Whitefriars / Powell  / S&W stuff - I couldn't find an exact match to the shape and pattern  :(

I kept hoping someone would come along and tell us who it was by!!
