Just had a confirmation on this as WF's pattern 8871 c.1930s red on flint,

I've been trying to remember where I got it, gone completely out of my head

I would confirm it as Whitefriars, pattern 8871, ruby threaded and tinted on flint, see a similar from my collection.
 
Also made with blue and amber, sometimes threaded only on flint, sometimes threaded on tinted, as per attached photo.
