Mine is a lot lighter in colour and from your pictures the Hoglund pieces look very smooth, on this piece some bubbles are at the surface and you can feel the 'lumps and bumps' technical term  ::). Maybe I;m just grasping here  ::) ;D ;D  I've just noticed that my bowl looks fed up, hands on hips Disney style !

Yours is much lighter in colour as you say. I wonder if Hoglund always stuck to the same dark, almost burnt amber colour ? The outside surface of my mug is very smooth as you can see in the photos . The inside surface of the mug is all lumps & bumps though. I guess you have checked the base for any hand written marks, mine are very difficult to see and yours has quite a bit of age-related wear .

Cheers, Mike

Have gone over it with a lens, hoping for that elusive Walsh mark, well any mark would be nice, oh well it's not the only unknown piece in the collection, ::) ;D ;D

Here is my first ever Höglund piece, kindly identified by Ivo: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,37860.0.html
I have added a few more pieces from this "range" in the meantime, but far from an expert...
John "glassobsessed" has a great collection of these: http://picasaweb.google.com/Johnmj100/ErikHoglund#

Still IMHO the piece in question doesn't look right for a Höglund design, with the curled ends of the handles; the bubbles in Höglund pieces seem much more random in size and shape; and I couldn't find another Höglund piece with bubbly glass handles.

Have to agree that it does not look typically Hoglundish, sorry Keith. So much easier to say what not than what is. :(

I think the bubbles look very different too , from what I have seen. Nice to see another H9 mug in your collection John  :o !

Here is a piece from a later era .... with curly handles....looks a bit fed-up too .... ;D
