Hi.  Those are Murano canes, possibly Fratelli Toso.   The flat base and facetting is typical of Murano, too.  I have seen a few similar Murano pieces, and think that they date to the mid 20th century.

Hi There
I have seen various versions of your paperweight with and without torsades but it is so easily identifiable with those distinct canes. Here is a picture of my copy with a fake 1846 date cane

Thanks for the responses.   I had never seen an example with a torsade and was unsure how old it possibly was.  The torsade made me think it was much older.
