krys-tol small utensil holder???

Have this small marked piece of glass and do not really know what it is.  measures 3.5 x 1.5 inches.  Was there such a thing as a spoon holder like this?

Mark used by Jefferson Glass Company on utility glass and its "Chippendale" pattern of tableware.
A little known, yet exquisite glass produced in the years between 1907 and 1924.
