oh, that is very very pale isn't it?  Looks as though it was overcased in white quite a way up the bowl.  I have one piece that looks pale pink on the outside compared to my other pieces but when you lift the lid it is deepest brightest pink on the interior.
I have one other piece that has quite a bright pink middle to top but then is fairly pale from the middle down to the foot.
Very interesting how they combined the colours with the white alabaster.
