Need help with identifying a piece of glass - Murano?
« on: June 28, 2006, 08:20:33 PM »
Forgive me, as I am a bit hopeless with glass.  I recently acquired this vase and someone told me that it might be murano.  There is what looks to be an etched signature, but I can not for the life of me decipher the name (see photo).  The vase measures 9" in diameter at the widest point and 6" high.  It is a lime almost flourescent color!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much

Debbie

My thoughts are to look elsewhere for it's origins. Just doesn't have a Murano look about it to me.

Hello Debbie,
I agree with Paul. The piece look mold-made, and dont think it is a Murano piece. It also look slike clambroth or opalescent glass, so maybe someone in the main glass board will know more.

Debbie, could you put some light to it, the black background is probably not giving this piece its justice!  Very nice piece!!
