I had been alerted to this earlier this week. Not original, amd painted with glass paints in the recent past.
Regards,

Thanks Marcus, I'd come to the same conclusion - glass spray paint perhaps!  ;D

Hi Marcus - with pleasure.  I hadn't posted a picture as they are the same as the link posted earlier.  Cat

I just found some identical tumblers to these. Wondering if anybody ever came up with any information on them.

The tumblers are from Durobor, the Belgian giant. I've always presumed that they were one of the many copies of "Mesi," but not nearly as nice. The key differences are the base and the weight. "Mesi" are light, with a clear, thin base. The Durobor have a chunky base.

Just spotted a set of the Durobor glasses on ebay - pattern name is Alaska.  Have emailed the seller to ask for permission to post their picture of the image on the box on here for posterity.

Thanks to the seller, Ann at Teahousetreasures, for permission to post a picture from her listing 370258660066 on ebay.

Thanks, Cat.  Perhaps we'll now see the end of "Alaska" being sold as "Mesi."
