A very extravagant sugar and creamer set i'm guessing by a good maker and pre first world war due to the razor sharp cuts, more green in daylight than in the pictures, glows under UV light apart from the handle on the creamer which is clear, some wear on the base corners of the tray, none on the jug or bowl, there is a stress crack in the handle of the jug and the set was was going to be thrown in the bin in a local charity shop. The sugar bowl is a true work of art and rings like a bell.

The tray is 9 inches by 5 inches, the jug 3 1/2 inches in height and the sugar 2 1/2 inches in height and 4 3/4 inches in diameter across the rim.

Any thoughts to an age or maker would be good, regards Chris.

Hello Chris,

It's in the VSL catalogue of 1908, nr 2 of the four creamer sets displayed. Very nice set indeed...

No way in a million years, to see the pattern and get a date, thank you very much.

Very nice, but I think it's cranberry rather than orange

Could be, the pics are taken with a daylight bulb, the set looks different again in daylight, more green and amber.
