Blown Art Glass Vase Partial Label - ID = ZBS (Zelezny Brod)
« on: January 08, 2016, 11:49:32 PM »
Anyone can guess the maker by the partial label?
Could it read Blarney?
Thanks

I would agree - I have a very similar label "Blarney / Glass / Collectables / Made in Ireland" -  i.e. not quite the same text, but same dark green on gold colours and same script.

The vase is Czech, designed by Miloslav Klinger or Josef Cvrcek for ZBS. Here is one of mine: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,48935.0.html
The label may be a retailer's label...

Agreed - I was only confirming that the label most likely reads Blarney Glass; it may well be just a retailer.

The label in question here doesn't state where the item was manufactured. The label I was referring to states "Made in Ireland" - it's attached to a paperweight which reminds me of Kerry Glass.

Thanks a lot.
According to Hi Sklo, Lo Sklo, the designer is Klinger
http://www.modernistglass.com/glasspieces/view/2767/miloslav-klinger-czech-vase-for-zelezny-brod

The seller here
http://20cglass.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=55_38&products_id=331
had a vase with Cvrcek signature, but he also attributed to Klinger?
Is it possible one was the designer and the other the blower?
