Is it okay to break this lamp?
« on: July 07, 2006, 09:49:17 PM »
We're going to try and hang these two lamps up in my living room but the way my mother is going about it she'll break them before we hang them.

Any clues to manufacturer and age please?

I would have thought that they'd probably be English judging by how many of them there are on the UK market, but Italian or German could be a possibility. Age, probably early/mid 70s.

Thanks, I liked the style of them.

How about this one. I got it from my Auntie so it must be old.

I'll probably hang that one in my room as it's got stripes.

Um.... not sure. Italy/Germany, c.1950-60?

That's a complete guess based on the style alone.

Better than expected when lit.

I didn't think it was anything special as the decoration is painted on.

Oh, that's quite attractive. Does it have some traces of gilding to its bottom rim, or are my eyes playing up?

No, that's where some of the White stuff is coming off.

I bought four lamps today. Lol
