Hi All,

Clear glass bird with silver mica inclusions, polished base, with chamfered outer rim and a rather frustrating signature! Any thoughts on the signature would be much appreciated.

Measures 22cm tall and weighs 722 grams.

Many thanks,
Greg

I'm pretty sure that is silver foil, not mica. Zanneti, Murano?

Thanks for taking a look Christine, Zanneti can be ruled out, they confirmed its not theirs.

I have an elephant with that signature and the same silver inclusions.  I read the signature as Zane, Murano on mine.

Hi Both,

Thank you for the pic of your elephant Rosie and the link to Vittorino Zane's birds in the Zoo Anne, that's a great help.

They are definitely by Vittorino Zane, I had a trawl the other day and somehow managed to miss it, thank you both for your help, its much appreciated. I'll send Anita a picture of this one to add to the zoo. :)
