Not sure if this is a Murano paperweight or not, has scattered millefiori canes (not sure what the correct term is sorry)

The weight is egg shaped, has a flat, polished base. The height is 4 1/2" approx and the diameter is 2 3/4" approx

I have tried to show the different canes in the weight, if more close ups are needed, just let me know.

Who is the maker or country of origin and rough age please, thank you.

The most common paperweights in the world are Chinese; the next most common Murano: these two sources acount for around 1 in 3 paperweights. So one of those two is often a good call...but I cannot give you a defintive attribution, I'm sorry to say.

the odd 'untidiness' and random scattering of small appearance bits of cane reminds me of what I thought were Japanese paperweights?
Is that blue aventurine in it though?  Is that unusual?

It certainly does look like a dark blue aventurine, unusual, I have no idea, maybe other board members may know.

Thank you for another avenue to look at though.
