John S Walsh 1/79 Vase
« on: May 24, 2016, 07:06:09 AM »
As mentioned in Rob K. vase thread, http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,62740.0.html ,  a John Walsh of similar era.
I surmise date being 1/79 from the engraved mark. January?

Odd shape, odd folded rim in places, base on the thick 'heavy' side.
Misty dark blue tone with AgCl trails.
Lots of tiny entrained bubbles as shown in  photo of vase held over halogen torch. Bubbles not apparent without torch due to dark body colour.

Gotta say, more I look into this piece the more enchanting it becomes.

Height: 115mm
Diameter: 110mm max, 100mm min.

So it goes.
