and realise that we will soon have someone trying to sell them as the real thing.  The only point of difference I could see, without actually handling both, seems to be that the KB vases are clear coated so the base is clear glass.  These Chinese copies seem to be coloured glass.

PPS.  Some one in Pinterest has posted this exact photo indicating it was available in Macys as the real KB item.

Vicious! The other indicator would probably be a non-gloss polished bottom and the total absence of a kosta boda sig, number and transparent plastic label.
