Green glass dressing table set - all glows under UV light
« on: July 16, 2016, 10:17:31 AM »
Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can identify the maker(s) of the attached set. No identifying markers on any of the pieces. Not sure of age. My Mum had them as a child and she was born in 1946. May have been my Nan's before her though.
Many thanks.
Sam

What you have is not a set I'm afraid. It's pieces of several sets plus a small footed bowl.
I'm pretty sure the tray hasn't been ID'd yet.

I did have a quick look on both Anne and Pamela's archives, but wasn't aware of seeing the tray pattern.

I'm going to list a tray with the same pattern in clear blue glass and went through every entry on the Glass Trinket Sets site and it isn't there unfortunately

The measurements don't give any clues either.  It's 11.75 x 8.25 x 5/8 inches or  30.0 x 21.0 x 1.5 cms.

It's hard to see on a photo but the green open bowl has the same circular pattern on its base. The ring holder also has the same pattern on its base/side as the main tray.

Well then they match the tray, but the bowl should have a lid. Here's what your set should have http://www.glasstrinketsets.com/Gallery/displayimage.php?pid=245

Lovely to see the full set. No-one knows the maker though?
I have a lidded bowl but it's not one in the original set picture. Mod: see new topic http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,65928.0.html for this item and follow up posts
Not sure which candle stick is the original - if either!

The short one. The tall one is in a different shade of green for a start. Your lidded bowl is from a different set to the tray.

The tray, unlidded pot and ring holder are all mystery set #5 here https://www.glasstrinketsets.com/Gallery/thumbnails.php?album=8.
The lidded pot looks like Walther Prismen, but a closeup view of the lid and base would help to confirm. https://www.glasstrinketsets.com/cms3/german/walther/prismen

The tall candlestick and lidded pot look like Libochovice 1700, the mystery 058 candlesticks look the same.
