Tony Cragg sculpture using glass
« on: July 21, 2016, 09:11:34 AM »
Went to see a huge Tony Cragg retrospective exhibition in Germany at the weekend.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Cragg

'The artist, who served as chancellor of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf until 2013, has received many honours, whether it be the Turner Prize, the Praemium Imperiale, or being named a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres. He has had exhibitions at the Louvre in Paris, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Tate Gallery London, but he has been living and working in Wuppertal since the 1970s.'

Absolutely amazing sculpture and I was delighted to get to the final room and come across this

It was incredible -   about 8 foot tall!
All built up of glass pieces.  Very beautiful.

He also did this piece:
