Per Lutken vase from Holmegaard
« on: August 21, 2016, 08:52:24 PM »
this was my other inexpensive charity shop find from last week - I'm not a Scandi collector normally, so unaware if this is an uncommon piece or not.   Height is a tad under 10 inches (c. 250 mm).
Cold worked ground/polished/bevelled rims, from charity shops, are prone to flea bites on the rims - but this one unusually free from such nibbles, so very happy - it's done well to survive from 1961 in such good condition.                           In the flesh it's a sort of W/Fs willow colour.

It's a Hellas vase - designed in 1950, in production until at least the mid-1970s. They're not uncommon, but do tend to be knackered because they're very usable.
