Sue, Harris also fully signed these paperweights, they are always footed. i have never understood why but I have seen quite a few of them over the years, they may have been for the American market or something like that.

I can't see the whole weight, but a weight with a foot, from Mdina?
I've never seen one. (Mind you, I don't pay attention to weights or collect them.)
There was something about america insisting on things being signed, yes, but I thought it referred mostly to things such as the Japanese globes - most of them have full Harris signatures, and some of the Rosenthal-style things.

It's Marc's paperweight image and it's on the previous page.
I haven't got any pics of marks.

Marc,

now that is really an unusual combination of weight and signature.  Hence the interest. :)

May we see a picture of the signature from different angles please? It will help many of us to compare to pieces we own and also who adore his glass.

Kind regards

Andrew

Marc,

actually on looking again can you post a larger image on one of the larger hosting sites as a closer inspection is needed beyond 125 kb.

Thanks

Andrew   :) :) :)

Hi,

The reason for Wolfie's original question was prompted by my purchase of a Papa/pulled ear vase that has what looks like a 'Harris' signature.

The vase is early...... being 5 inches high and a small button top.

Regards,

Patrick.
