A recent find was an irridescent kluk kluk decanter and six wine glasses to match. There's no clue on any of them as to who they are by. Can anyone identify maker and / or era please?

Oh, I've seen that exact same stopper on an amber flashed kuttrolf and wine glass set with engraved berries and vines which I assumed was Bohemian.

I've always kicked myself for not buying it at the time, because it wasn't expensive. *sigh*

Anyway, it could easily be a generic stopper shape, but it might be a starting point.

It's one of those pieces that are sort-of "on the cusp". Classic Carnival collectors would probably not class it as Carnival. But those who enjoy unusual items, that are not in the mainstream, may well want to claim it as such.

Nic, thank you, it's a starting point for sure. I've seen similar stoppers somewhere as well but am blowed if I can recall where or when!

Glen, also thank you. You may have guessed that my mother, who collects Carnival in a small way, absolutely loved it - it may well end up there in due course! Meanwhile, I like it as it's different.
