Caithness Swirly Paperweight - but which pattern & year ?
« on: October 16, 2016, 12:53:52 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I recently bought this Caithness Paperweight.  It has a C II G mark on the base so I know it's a second.  Coloured swirls on black glass.  It's quite rough & ready and is uncased.  can anyone help identify which year and pattern this is meant to be ?

It's 3" high x 3" diameter so reasonably large.

Sorry - i only have this pic currently as I have lost it in one of my boxes somewhere !

Thanks
Rob

Hi, I think the weight is Kaleidoscope first issued in 1979 and designed by Colin Terris.

Ok great thank you very much- I thought it was more modern than that - which explains why I couldn't find it !.  Rob :)

Many Thanks - I was looking on Scotland's Glass originally but assumed it was a modern weight so was looking at more recent years.   ;D
