Salviati Building Collapse
« on: July 21, 2006, 02:33:44 PM »
Bad news for anyone wanting information about vintage Salviati glass.  I'm informed that the building in Murano that houses their library "collapsed completely," and they can no longer access records.  Here's an excerpt from an e-mail I received.  (In a follow-up e-mail, they told me they don't expect ever to be able to "ever" recover their library).

>Unfortunately our historical records have been destroyed during a structural
failure of our storage building in Murano; we have no way at the moment to research it.  I am really sorry about that.
