« on: January 14, 2017, 11:03:20 PM »
Wondering if this iridescent vase is by any known artist.
Can't quite make out signature hand etched signature on lower edge:
R. Fill...?

Hi and welcome to the board. Could you add a sharp closeup of the signature please, and one showing the base of the vase (we can tell a lot by the way a base is finished). Thanks!

Thanks for the base and signature views, it's not easy to make out at all, is it?   I am going to move this over into our USA forum in the hope it may catch the eye of someone who might be able to help, but it might take a wee while for the right person to come along so please bear with us meanwhile. :)

At first sight it looks like "R. Alli-----g ---".

Try dusting he signature with some talcum powder (or dry flour) then wipe over gently. That should leave talc in the actual engraved parts and may help reading it.
